Sorry to take so long in answering. It took me a while to remember where my information was located.
Nearly all armbands were worn by members of the Political, not the Military branches of the Nazi Government.
25 Nazi Party. The higher your rank in the Party, the more elaborate the armband. 4 SA (Storm Troopers) 1 NSKK (Motor units of the NAZI Party. 1 RAD (Labor Corp) 2 HJ (Hitler Youth) 3 SS (Hitler's Bodyguards) 1 NSD (Student's Organization) 2 Workers Organization - - - - - - - This was the limit of my sources, but I suspect that there were others. One that comes to mind was issued at the end of the war (which I have) saying: "Deutsche Wehrmacht" meaning the wearer had no uniform, but he was a member to the German Army. I also have an Army Armband, but have no source either saying why it was worn, nor have I ever seen a photo of anyone wearing it.
Hope this is of some help, John
Because the right arm was a cursed arm if they tatooed on it and it was beleived that they would die the next day if they did.
The nazi symbol or Swastica is the hindu sign of peace. But the answer to your question is the Swastica.
No, the swastika is not illegal in Canada. As part of a Hallowe'en costume, you would be justified in wearing it; many would see it as a very good idea for such a costume.
The "swastika" symbol was a traditional Nordic and Buddhist symbol adopted by the Nazi movements in Germany during the 1930s. It resembles a "X" with the each end of arm of the letter bent at a right angle.
Yes, they did try to bring back dead soldiers, improve soldiers resistance against cold, and try to chemically and genetically engineer Nazi soldiers. Many disgusting experiments were tested on people in concentration camps before it was used on nazi soldiers. If a nazi had lost a leg, or an arm, someone from a concentration camp would have there leg or arm chopped off, and transplanted to the soldier. They did not bring anyone back to life who had been dead for over 24 hours, and there are no reports of anyone actually being brought back to life.
Black arm bands are usually worn on the left arm as a mark of respect for, or in mourning of a death.
