∙ 10y agoLiterally, hundreds. Mexico is a multi-cultural country much like the U.S. However, as there has been a lesser degree of Immigration from other countries, the difference between varied cultures is less evident.
For instance, there is a quite large Orthodox Jewish community in Mexico, and they hold most of their traditions intact, at such degree that many non-Jewish businesses and stores have adapted to accommodate the demands of the Jewish community, such as providing Kosher food.
Other cultures, native to Mexico, are found on small rural villages and towns where most traditions have been kept since colonial times and haven't been replaced by the most common, westernized culture. This has prompted the Mexican government to name them as "Pueblos Magicos" (Magic Towns), providing financial support to keep these traditions alive. Some of these include gastronomy, music, dance, architecture and art.
