There is no limit, though after Prime Minister Trudeau many in Canada feels there should be a limit, just as there should be a limit on how often a party can win. For much of the 20th century Canada was effectively had a one party system.

How does Canada decide its leaders?

Democratic elections. The way we differ from the US when it comes to elections is; 1) We are not limited to Democrat, or Republican. We have Liberal, Conservative, The New Democratic Party, Bloc Quebecois, and many other parties. 2) The political leader, our Prime Minister, gets to choose when an election is held with a five year maximum time between elections, while in the US, Presidential elections are on a fixed date every four years, and Congressional elections every two years. 3) Because the Canadian Senate doesn't have a democratic mandate, the House of Commons combines elements of regional representation into its representation by population. Thus, some regions have more representation in the House of Commons than their population would grant them, and others have less. 4) Whereas in the US the President is elected separately from Congress, the Canadian Prime Minister is selected based on the composition of the House of Commons, more akin to how the US Speaker of the House is selected, though there is no formal vote. 5) The Canadian Prime Minister doesn't have any term limits. They serve for as long as they are the leader of their party while their party is in power.
