It will fit no problem as the holes in the frame for the mounts are there already. Take the mounts and the saddles for the mounts. Problem is the Olds, Pontiac, Cadillac and Buick bellhousings are the same while Chevrolet are different. So you'll need the Transmission also to complete the swap.
I'm no expert but it might have something to do with engine mounts, or harmonic balancer, check your mounts first!
you have to buy the V8 motor mounts for your year Monte and bolt them in to fit the 305.

You don't, you replace them. Depending on what is happening, try adding a bottle or two of lucas power steering fluid treatment. I'm not much for "snake oil", but have had good results with it.
yes you do there are pics out there the show the correct mounting holes to use
not inless you convert the motor mounts and change the transmission but y would you want to use a ford motor they suck
If it has a carb then it would be in the carb, usually where the fuel inlet is.
