There are many teenagers that are involved in drinking and driving accidents each year. This number is in the thousands.
While not tallied on a daily basis- at least fifty percent of Fatal ( involving death) automobile accidents have some connection with alcohol use- as determined by blood tests, autopsies, etc.At least half of all fatal auto accidents involve alcoholism as a direct or proximate cause. I have no idea how many can be directly traced to fatal- dis-traction of cellphone or other message-device traffic.
