Correct. FBS is part of U.S. Bank. FBS stands for First Bank System, which was the name of one of the major companies that came together to form today's U.S. Bank, however, the brand name of First Bank System/FBS, in most cases, was retired in 1996. The name still shows up here and there since they were one of the biggest components that went into U.S. Bank, however.

At the D1 FBS level (the highest level of college football) there are three schools in New England - Boston College, a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference; the University of Connecticut, a member of the American Athletic Conference; and the University of Massachussets Amherst (UMass), a member of the Mid-American Conference. There are also 11 New England schools at the FCS level, which is also considered Division 1, but not at the same level of competition as the FBS (FCS schools do not play for the major bowl games).
