Stamps first went on sale in October 1854 in India.
I am going to India forever
As long as you have the correct postage you can use 'regular stamps' to post to anywhere in the world. If I want to send a letter and it costs $2:40 then I know I need 4 stamps @60c value each , which is the domestic rate in NZ. Otherwise I go to the Post Office and buy a $2:40 stamp.
highest Rs500/- Postage Stamp in India
The cost for a one-ounce letter is 94 cents. You can buy a 94 cent stamp at the PO. Otherwise, any combination of stamps that add up to 94 cents or more will do the job.
Enough to add up to the cost of postage. Currently an international first class letter of one ounce is 98 cents.
No. The Universal Postal Union requires you to use the stamps of the country of origin.
1 I....think maybe 2
hi, at present in India two press prints Indiana postage stamps : 1- Government security printing press Nasik , 2- Government security printing press Hydrabad.
In my general opinion generally speaking in a general sort of way, I would conclude that a letter from India to the USA should not take more than 30 days tops to make it from India to the United States. (God willing).
dah! India must be a forever member...jai hind!
