Only one. It's integrated with the fuel pump and located inside the fuel tank. It is not serviceable. Replacement of the fuel filter requires replacement of the entire fuel pump module. Expensive and requires removal of either the fuel tank or the truck's boxbed. Yeah, maybe not "the dumbest design ever," for fuel filters, but it's definitely on that list.
I went to get one at Advanced at the salesman looked it up and told me a Dakota in the 98-2000 (?) range don't have fuel filters.
