They're will be no new maps on battlefield 1943 (c) (C) - except the one which is already out - Coral Sea which was unlocked after the 43 million community kills.
Technically, only 3: 1. Wake Island 2. Okinawa 3. Guadalcanal Air Superiority (Coral Sea Islands) isn't really a map so much as it is a game of Conquest with only 1 objective.
So far, Battlefield Premium has no maps that are exclusive to it. The newest DLC, Close Quarters, can be found on the ingame store (For PC, it is on Battlelog.com). To access the maps, just join a game that include the maps in the map rotation of the server.
22 maps in the new version Battlefield 3 Premium.
There are a total of 20 new maps in the 5 Battlefield Premium DLC's. Along with those, there are about 20 new weapons, over 10 new vehicles, 4 new game modes, 30 new assignments, and 20 dog tags.
From what I found there are 20 maps that come with Battlefield 3 Premium. I am not completely sure if the default maps are included in those 20 though. They might have more than from when I last checked though.
You can download modified maps (I recommend not to) or update to the newest version. But I updated and there were no new maps. To download patches (updates) go to Battlefield 1942 site. For player made maps just search Battlefield 1942 player maps. Hope this is helpful!
No its completely on line exept the tutorial.
There are many reasons to say that it is good and to say that it is bad. For example, I may think that since it has big maps with air, land, and water vehicles it is a great game. You may like much smaller maps with no vehicles. Battlefield 3 does have a bunch of close quarters maps for those people who like smaller maps now with the release of Close Quarters though. Battlefield 3 tries to be as realistic as possible, whereas you may like unrealistic games. It is all a matter of opinion.

The best Battlefield game is often considered to be "Battlefield 1942," as it revolutionized the first-person shooter genre with its large-scale battles, diverse vehicles, and expansive maps. Its combination of team-based gameplay and historical settings set a high standard for subsequent titles. However, many fans also praise "Battlefield 4" for its refined mechanics, dynamic environments, and engaging multiplayer experience. Ultimately, preferences vary based on individual playstyles and nostalgia.
