It is impossible to say for certain since many gay people chose not to make public about their sexual preference. Some people say that it may be as high as 10% of the population, however this is probably a major exagerration.
Since all human populations have between 5-10% people who have same-sex attraction (and they always have and always will), and since the United States has 300 million people, there are about 15 million to 30 million people who are gay in the United States.
The most accepted percentage of homosexual people in the world is 10% (10 percent). This was first reported by Dr Alfred Kinsey and later accepted by most notable medical and scientific institutions. Organisations such as the American Psychological Association (APA) have accepted this 10% figure.
Based on a world population of 7,000,000,000 (7 billion people), around 750,000,000 (750 million) people are homosexual.
People say that 1.7% - 4% are Gay & Lesbian. That would make the current number in the US around 6,000,000 out of 315,000,000. This number coincides with a study done in 2011, that was published in The Huffington post.
All gay people in the U.S. are gay. There is no such thing as a gay person who isn't gay.
i mean everybody is just a littttllleee gayyyyyy ;) i know i am
No, most gay people are not twins.
This kind of thing can cause so much needless stress for people. A gay thought does not make a person gay. In fact, many people in their 20's, 30's and beyond, may have a single gay encounter, or a brief 'fling', and this does not mean that the person is gay. There is also no requirement that straight people have this kind of experience. Think of it this way. We are, all of us, sexy. I mean this in a general sense of course; I wouldn't do well competing for degree of sex appeal against current movie stars. But as sexual and sexy people, we can at times be attracted to other sexual and sexy people, even of the same sex. People shouldn't go crazy over this, and this is absolutely NOT license to engage in unfaithfulness.
If you are talking about sex, gay people "give" if they are tops, and they "take" if they are bottoms. Some gay people are versatile as well.
Gay people get treated differently because people are still prejudiced against them.
Well ill answer your question with a question. How many homeless people in the us like to jog?
No US State has a ban against gay people.
Yes there are gay people in the US and in nearly every other part of the globe. If there were no gay people in the US, then there would not be all the gay marches, pro-gay lobbying, nor pushes for gay marriage. There would not be all this push for gay rights if gayness were merely hypothetical and a theory.
There aren't many gay people. Only about 3% to 8% of the population is gay.
No. Gay people are legal in all 50 US states.
Between 2-4%? So about 5-15 million people are GLBTQ.
8,562 people are gay.
about 10% of people are gay in every culture if you want to include bisexuals pansexuals ect. it gets to about 50% :) the us population is about 300,000,000 so about 30,000,000 people in the us are gay
Gay People typically do not marry Straight People.
Exact numbers are not known, but estimates range from 12 million to 30 million people.
Yes. There are many countries (India, Nigeria, and others) in which homosexuality is illegal. There are many more countries (includign the US) in which one can be fired for being gay. Even leavign beside marriage, the natural rights of gay people are very much restricted.
People are born that way. It's not something that is chosen or can be prevented. They are here because this is where they are supposed to be.
Gay people can be happy. Many gay guys that are in relationships are usually happy. I'm gay and happy and single. Sometimes I am not happy but only because I feel lonely.
