that's just like asking how many grains of sand are on a beach......
what you could do is...
measure the size of a grain of sugar - width, length, height and times these together to find its volume.
then empty a bag of sugar and fill it with water, until where the sugar reaches when filled.
pour the water into a measuring jug - you now have the volume of sugar that the bag takes in cm3.
the grains of sugar will have a few air spaces between them so take a rough guess at this amount - maybe 1-2cm3
now minus this from the volume of the bag.
divide the volume of the bag by the volume of one grain of sugar.
this will be an approximate figure of how many grains there are.
15342 in 1kg of sugar
725,000
Roughly 50 cups of sugar in a 25lb bag.
About 2000.
A four kilogram bag of white sugar should have about 17.5 cups of sugar in it. If it is a four kilogram bag of brown sugar, then it should have about 20 cups in it.
I read there are 14 cups in a 4-lb bag of sugar. I know there are 48 teaspoons in a cup. So, if my information about cups/4 lb bag are right, there are 672 teaspoons of sugar in a 4 lb bag
Approximately, 40 cups
454x5 equals about the amount of grams that are in five pounds.
well here is a good guess...found thatThere are about 5 million grains of sugar in 1 kilogram (about 35.2 ounces).1 tablespoon of Caster Sugar (white or fine sugar) sugar = approx. 1/2 oz 5million (grains) / 35.2ounces = 142045.45 grains per ounce142045.45 grains per ounce divide in half to get the amount that fills a teaspoon.ANSWER = 71022.73
dry sugar
There are about 10 to 11 cups of sugar in a 5 pound bag of sugar depending on the amount of sugar lost in leakage(which all bags of sugar seem to have) You can't be completely certaian.
That depends on how big the bag is, as well as how full it is and how large each grain of rice is. However, most people don't spend all their time counting how many grains of rice are in each bag, so it will be hard to find out.
