Probably plan 2-3 hours per wall and then double the time you set aside. That is because you will need to wipe off the wall, spackle any holes and mask the areas between the ceiling and baseboards. Preparation really makes a difference. You might use Kilz as the first coat if you are trying to cover a darker color or stripes.

How many square feet does a gallon of primer plus paint cover?

Anywhere from 300-500 square feet depending on the thickness/thinness of the paint, how many coats you're putting on from a single can, and how large the surface is you're painting. However, 300-500 square feet is an approximate average of how much a gallon of paint should cover.

How many coats of white paint is needed to cover a dark surface of up to 600 sq ft?

The answer will depend on the quality of the paint, the coverage of the paint and the preparation of the surface being painted. The Lowe's paint calculator says primer covers 200 square feet per gallon, and paint covers 350 square feet per gallon. Assuming for a dark surface you need at least 2 coats, and you are only using paint and not primer, and not knowing the type of paint, I would start with 3 gallons to be sure you have enough for 2 coats, and then see how it looks. If you need three coats, you might still have enough.

How large a surface area in units of square feet will 1 gallon of paint cover if you apply a coat of paint that is 0.1 centimeter thick?

A gallon of paint covers about 300 square feet at a usual thickness of one coat; your example of 0.1 cm thick is very thick coat, equivalent to about 6 coats of paint at least; you could cover about 300/6 =50 square feet at that thickness.

How many gallons of paint to cover 752 square feet?

It depends on the texture of the surface (including its preparation), its porosity. It also depends on the coverage of the paint and how many coats you want/need. Look at the coverage information on the paint container.

How many gallons of paint does it take to paint 600 square two coats?

well being a two story home not knowing exact size i would tell you bout 20-25 gallons without ceilings go to affordablepainters.biz to get a quote Figure basically 300 Sq Ft per gallon. This will change depending on how porous the siding is and how many coats you are applying. Paint companies recommend two coats for a first rate job. You may be over or under depending but this is a good rule of thumb. Same for the trim.

How much white paint is needed to paint a 1000 square foot building?

1000 square feet to paint? You can paint 400 feet squared with one gallon. so you need to know how high the wall is 8 feet high by 1000 feet 8x1000 = 8000 square feet divided by 400feet per a gallon = 20 gallons one coat. just x the amount of coats you want to do and your good to go. You realy need to measure each wall and go HxL divided by 400feet per a gallon and this will tell you how many gallons will be needed to paint each wall and corner.

Formula for calculating paint requirement per square feet?

Paint coverage differs depending on brand and type of paint. Most (if not all) paint cans will indicate that one gallon covers so many square feet. For example, Paint A says one gallon covers 200 square feet. That means 200 square feet will require one gallon, 50 square feet will require one quart, 400 square feet will require two gallons, etc.
