This would take quite a while. On SkyTeam alliance it is possible to travel east by going Honolulu-Atlanta-Amsterdam-Nairobi. The total travelling time would be about 30 hours. Travelling west is not quite as easy but could travel Honolulu-Seoul-Amsterdam-Nairobi. Again the actual travel time would be around 30 hours. There are many varaitions on this but plan for 1.5 days - 36 hours travelling to be safe.

That will depend on where you start and finish. If you are right at the border, it would take seconds, whereas if you were flying from somewhere like Texas or Hawaii, it would take hours.
Nairobi the capital of Kenya is an inland city. Being inland and having no large body of water near it, it would be impossible to travel there by ferry. You need a transport type which travels over land not water (bus, train, car, bicycle).
A flight from Toronto to Hawaii would take about 10 hours.
