No. This issue will probably work its way up to the Supreme Court, but hasn't yet.
The issue of illegal immigration is a sensitive one. Many citizens of a nation feel that deportation is appropriate for illegal immigrants, as it is both mandated by law and viewed as a personal right of the nation to permit only those who pass qualifications to become naturalized. Amnesty is generally frowned on by citizens, as they view it as capitulation or giving the illegal immigrants a free ride to citizenship status. Additional problems occur as illegal immigrants do not pay taxes but use the social programs those taxes are designed to pay for. This can result in exacerbating economic problems.
Deportation is used in many countries when a person's travel Visa has expired.Someone is removed from a country by the act of deportation.Sometimes, deportation could be considered a harsh punishment by some governments.
The US does not have sancturary cities as such, but it does have laws that offer protection to immigrants who qualify as asylees or refugees. Illegal immigrants have in a few instances sought sanctuary from deportation by seeking refuge under the protection of a church or religious organization. The US Supreme Court has ruled that such action is not recognizable under immigration law and the immigrant(s) are still subject to seizure, detainment and deportation and those assisting them or refusing to cooperate with authorities can be prosecuted regardless of their religious status/views.
in my opinion immigrants do deserve health care. but they should also have to pay for it. Yes they should be given health care, but only DURING the time they are held in prison awaiting deportation back to their own country.
Political cartoons about present immigrants may focus on issues such as border security, deportation policies, and refugee crises, reflecting current events. In the past, cartoons on immigrants often depicted stereotypes and discrimination based on nationality or ethnicity. Today's cartoons may also highlight issues of diversity, inclusion, and social justice in relation to immigration.
Frankly, I hope not. I am not an attorney or an immigration official. But it is hard not to conclude that she is trying to use marriage as a way to undo the deportation. I should hope that it doesn't work.
