Ireland is the third largest island in Europe and is itself surrounded by approximately 80 islands of significant size, of which only about 20 are inhabited. There are hundreds of other smaller islets dotted around the Irish coast, throughout the Irish Sea on the eastern coast and in the Atlantic Ocean to the south, west and north. Achill Island in Co. Mayo is Ireland's largest island. There are a few sites mapping exactly where each of the main Islands are located see: www.maps.ie/irelands-islands.htm or www.irelandsislands.com

This is a little bit complicated, so there is a yes and no perspectives. Ireland is the name of an island. On that Ireland is Northern Ireland and what is commonly known as the Republic of Ireland. Officially its name is Éire which in English is Ireland. So Ireland is an island and part of that island is also called Ireland, with that part not being an island as it shares the island of Ireland with the Republic of Ireland.
