There are 18 wheel assemblies on a 747 and the rate of wear depends on the position,the aircraft loading and how and where the aircraft operates.

The nose wheel tyres, for instance, wear at a much reduced rate compared with main wheels.

The body gear tyres get scrubbed on push back with tight radius turns which removes tread very quickly.

Any damage to a tyre which exceeds AMM limits requires immediate replacement, irrespective of tread life remaining.

So a 747 tyre may be replaced after one landing or 30 dependant on a whole range of factors.
