There is no possible way to calculate this. The fact that a police officer is present in an area, generally, results in people behaving more appropriately. When criminals see an officer, they're usually deterred from committing crimes in that area, and police are often present at calls that could have gotten out of hand, but their presence prevented it. Many lives the law enforcement save are saved through proactive measures, or before the situation occurs. The best answer we can give is that law enforcement save lives every day, and most go unrecorded.
