maple logs arent nessesary as yew logs are best if you are f2p [find one in edgeville or draynor or lumbridge graveyard]and magic logs if you are p2p.[P2P=Members] [F2P= Free to play] [Magic logs found in camelot or sourcerers tower].

I suggest you use a runescape skill calculator (Check related links), to find out how many logs you need. Then go to the Grand Exchange (either within RuneScape, or from the main page), and look up the current price for maple logs. Finally, multiply it. For many players, the main problem in getting firemaking 99 (or 99 in most skills) is not so much the cost, but the amount of time required, to burn the logs in this case.
I would strongly recommend using diffrent logs if you can but otherwise it probably would take at least maby 2m 1m logs which i have no clue i just like to help people with runescape
