The sex cells, or gametes, (egg and sperm) don't contain pairs of chromosomes. They each contain 23 singular chromosomes. When the egg and sperm combine, the resulting cell will have 23 pairs of chromosomes.

You have single copy of chromosomes in sex cell. You have total 23 chromosomes in sex cell. When sex cells from male and female combine, you get the double copies of chromosomes in human cells. You have 23 such double copies of chromosomes in your body cells.

Gametes only have one of each chromosome, whereas somatic cells have a pair.

What is a matched pairs design?

Matched Pairs involves participants being selected for one group only but part of each group are matched for some relevant factors eg) age, gender, height. Kiecolt Glaser did a matched pairs experiment in 1995.

How many chromosmes are found in the human somatic cell?

There are 23 pairs of chromosomes in each human somatic cell. 22 pairs are exactly the same in both males and females. In males there are XY sex chromosomes and in females these are XX.

Having two chromosomes of each pair-normal body cells?

Normal body cells, also called diploid cells, contain 46 chromosomes. These are matched up in 23 pairs, one pair being the gender chromosomes.

The hydrogen bonding across to the nitrogen's lone pairs in each match is strong enough in a correctly matched pair to hold the DNA molecules together.

How many complete DNA molecules after three rounds of replication?

Each time a cell divides it's 23 PAIRS of chromosomes are divided and then 23 go to each of 2 new cells. Then each new cell with 23 chromosomes then replicates it's chromosomes so it has 23 PAIRs. Just look at a diagram of cell "mitosis". After the first mitosis: 46 pairs and 2 cells, Second round: 4 cells containing 92 PAIRS of DNA total. 3RD ROUND: Eights cells each containing 23 PAIRS of chromosomes: 8 x 23= 184 total chromosomes.

How many total pairs of chromosomes are in each of the daughter cells that divide under mitosis?

Human? 23 pairs as mitosis means ' to double.'
