Drive it right and change the oil every 3000 miles, do regular tune-ups and maintenence, and cross your fingers, you should get at least 200,000 miles out of her.
It has a belt, and should be replaced every 60k miles. It's smart to replace the water pump also because it is driven by the timing belt and it is difficult to get access to.

I had a similar symptom on my '98 Plymouth Voyager. I took it to a reputable mechanic and all it wound up being was a bad ignition wire. He changed all the plugs and wires and it runs great - 106K miles!
