Ask your doctor. It depends on what other pain meds you've taken in the past and how severe your pain is. It's also prescribed according to your body weight. Morphine comes in both immediate release (IR) and extended release (MS Contin). That is of course if you're taking it for pain. If you're looking to get high then shame on you!

∙ 14y agoIf it is your first time, you should take 20mg to start off with. When you have liquid morphine be sure to take it sublingually, keep it under your tongue, to maximize the effects. Chew or snort the pills for maximum effectiveness. If you still can't feel it, continue in small doses such as 5 and 10mg, and give it at least 30 minutes for the liquid and 45 to an hour for the pills.

∙ 9y agoNone if they are not prescribed for you. If they have been prescribed for you the dosage and frequency will be labelled on them. If you have lost the packaging the Doctor Who prescribed will tell you how many and how often.
