How many ours of sleep you need?

I myself thrive on less sleep than the average individual. I find that the more I sleep the harder it is for me to wake up. If you are ailing, I recommend you rest more than usual. Some recommend eight hours of sleep on the regular, but I know myriads of people who sleep only four-five hours a night and they are perfectly fine. I guess that it depends on you really. How do you feel after sleeping a lot? How do you feel after "depriving" yourself of a couple of hours? Doctors and researchers say the average adult needs at least eight hours of sleep each night. Sleep deprivation is a major cause of auto accidents, as well as impairing the body's immune system, and ability to fight off illness and disease.
