According to the 1999 Ford Contour Owner Guide : ( all models have a 15.4 U.S. gallon fuel tank )
Hi, I have a 96 ford contour.. they all seem to have emission issues dont they? On mine, I just replaced the 2 it has. They are called upstream and downstream o2 sensors. I liked the prices from rockauto.com where they were shipped from.
That Vehicle has 2 oxygen sensors.
My 1999 is up to 303,000 and going strong.
15.4 Gal is what the owners manual says
many things to determine... motor being the most relevant. Many of the parts from 4 cylinder motors are interchangable. As are, V6. But, there are differences if it is SVT or not
According to the 1999 Ford Contour Owner Guide : With engine oil filter change : The 2.0 litre four cylinder engine takes : ( 4.5 U.S. quarts of 5W-30 )
According to the engine wiring schematic in my Chilton book : For a 1999 Ford Ranger , 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine : ( there are 3 oxygen sensors )
i have an SE and it takes 6 quarts. ford now recommends 5w-30
There are 2 oxygen sensors. One before the catalyltic converter and one after the catalyltic converter.
There are many possibilities; you'll need to be more specific.
In a 1999 Ford Contour : The 2.0 litre four cylinder engine has ( 2 cam shafts on top of the cylinder head ) The 2.5 litre V6 engine has ( 2 camshafts on top of each cylinder head so there are 4 camshafts )
