Millions in the United States have cancer, and some say that there will be 2.3 million in the country with cancer in 2030. I strongly disagree with this number because if one of two men have cancer and one of three women have cancer then it would be logical to assume that almost half of the population of the United States would have cancer.

In 2011, approximately 37000 Americans were newly diagnosed with oral cancer. The survival rate for all stages of the disease when found, is approximately 57% at five years out from diagnosis. This is up from about 30,000 per year a decade ago, primarily due to an additional new etiology, the HPV16 virus. So today, even non smokers are getting oral cancer.
