How many people preached about peace to the world before Jesus came?

The reason religious and political leaders of the past have preached 'peace to the world' was to pacify their people and to consolidate their power. They 'preached peace', but 'pursued war'. God's true prophets did notpreach 'peace'. Their warnings were of famine and warfare if their listeners didn't repent from their wrongdoings. This is why God's prophets were tortured and put to death. Jesus did not preach 'peace to the world'. Jesus said, "I came to start a fire on the earth, and what more is there for me to wish if it has already been lighted? Indeed, I have a baptism with which to be baptized, and how I am being distressed until it is finished! Do YOU imagine I came to give peace on the earth? No, indeed, I tell YOU, but rather division. For from now on there will be five in one house divided, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against [her] mother, mother-in-law against [her] daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against [her] mother-in-law." (Luke 12:49-53). Also"In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite." (Daniel 2:44) (Also, read Luke 1:32, 33). The only true and lasting 'peace for the world' there can ever be is the 'world peace' that will be brought about on the cleansed Earth, through God's Kingdom, with Jesus Christ as King.
