Depends what country you live in - and local laws governing the number of pets. I'm in the UK and have over 400 reptiles in my collection.

I think snakes are wonderful. I want one as a pet! Not many snakes are poisonus but people kill them anyway and they shouldnt.
you can get non-poisonius snakes at most pet stores like pet smart, super pet ect.

They do. That's generally what people with pet snakes feed them. There are predatory birds that like them too. Many people use fake owls as scarecrows.

Between the two of them a snake would probably make a better pet as they tend to be lower maintenance and are easier to get. As snakes go corn snakes and king snakes are usually the best pets.
