A rough and tumble answer is that a 2GB SD card can hold about 400 pictures if it is completely empty to start with. There are however, many variables such as pixel size, file format, and compression size that would complicate the answer.
Now, according to this crucial.com memory card guide, the average filesize of an 8 megapixel photo is 4.2MB, and at that estimate a 2GB memory card will hold 464 photos.
But I figure that Crucial errs on the conservative side by using a larger than average size for their calculations. People would complain if they advertised the card as being able to hold 500 photos, but it only held 480.
But I won't be surprised if you fit 500, or even 600 or more photos on your 2GB card.
It largely depends on the type of photos you take, and it might be a good idea to figure out the average size of the photos you take. When you finish a shoot, check the total amount of space used on the card and divide it by the number of photos. If you're taking photos of very intricate subjects your average filesize might easily get up closer to 4MB.
If you're shooting in RAW format, the average filesize will be about 7MB, in which case you'll be able to fit about 280-300 photos on the card.
it depends on what size the photos are. If you have a maybe 5 gb or 8gb camera you wont fit a lot on a 2Gb memory card. It varies from about 40 to several thousand, depending on file type, resolution and compression. Top end JPEGS on a 6 MB camera would fit about 600 on a 2 GB card. Cameras are rated in megapixels, not gb as above; certainly most cameras these days are in the range of 5 megapixels to 12 megapixels.
There is no real answer, as it will depend on the size of the photographs. You can save them in different formats, or scale them to different sizes, so different ones will take up different amounts of storage.
It depends on the size of the pictures. If you say the average size is 1MB then you could store up to 1024 pictures.
It does depend on your camera and amount of megapixels. If you're doing mostly still shots, 2gb can range from holding 200 to 900 photos. If you have a Lexar card it is usually around 560
2Gb Sd card usually holds up to 4800 pictures (JPEG).
That depends on the size of the pictures, format, compression level, etc... but it'a about 1000 pictures from a decent quality modern camera saved as JPG.
1200
it can hold up to 500 songs on a 2gb phone but with pictures it could hold up to 250 songs and 250 pictures all together
It depends on the camera.
Over 3000.
The content of the picture and what "Quality" level you are using affects how many pictures a memory card will hold. A 2 GB card in a 7.2 MP camera will hold something like 800 pictures on medium quality and 400 pictures on high quality.
around 200
411 pictures at the highest resolution - I just bought a sony cybershot and a 2gb card, and my husband was able to look in the menu of the camera to see exactly how many pictures were left.
about 500 songs
2GB is enough space to hold about 500 songs.
It depends how big pictures your camera takes - how many megapixels it has and what type of files it writes. More megapixels -> bigger files -> less pictures on a memory card. RAW files are few times bigger than JPG files.
roughly 500
