Timing chain gear alignment 2.4 l?

i have a 2.4 in a Chevy cavalier i don't know what 2.4 you have but on mine its simple to align the timing. make sure both camshaft spockets are 12oclock u will know when its timed cause there are holes on the camshaft spocket that fits 8mm bolts and there is a hole that they fit into so if the guide pins are 12 oclock then the 8mm hole would be around 6 7 oclock. once u have it aligned slap the bolts in and itll keep it in time while u bring the crankshaft to top dead center set your chain make sure that the chain is set on the sprockets correctly
