It depends on the resolution. For example a resolution of 1220x960 would have 1,171,200 pixels or 1.1 megapixel. You take the height (1220) times the length (960.) If referring to an image, you can say it is a 1220 by 960 or a 1.1 megapixel image.
resolution is number of pixels in other words informations about image per inch, cm. Low resolution means low number of pixels or informations per inch and generally low quality of image.
Low resolution is usually caused by a poor compression rather than poor capture. Low resolution images have less physical pixels than a high resolution one. The stretching of the image is what causes them to look poor. This low number of pixels is usually the result of downsampling of the the image for email or file size purposes.
Some people might want a low resolution image because of a reason. Scanning pictures is modern and having a low resolution might be to make something have more noticeable pixels.
This is a difficult question to answer unequivocally. As you audience will be viewing the page with a number of different hardware from high resolution large screens having a width exceeding 1900 pixels to mobile phones with screens having maybe 300 pixels. If you can exclude some of these potential viewers form your primary target audience you will find it easier to determine the resolution you really want to offer. There is always the possibility of displaying low resolution images or even "thumbnails" and offering users the opportunity to click a link to get higher resolution images. I often have my browser about 900 pixels wide on my 1600 pixel monitor. so for me an image 800 pixels wide is fine.
no they record at the same rate but the low resolution is of lower quality and smaller file size than the higher resolution image.
Image > Image Size
go to http://www.shrinkpictures.com/ its a online image resizer and you can set the size and image quality. hope this helps
You could tell because low resolution makes for a pixelated picture, and high resolution settings, you cannot tell.
Open image in Photoshop then go to Image > Image Size.
Resolution by definition is the number of pixels. In a camera, number of pixels isn't the only thing that makes it high quality.yes ,undoubtedly .Resolution means pixel per centimeter.Actually pixel is an acronym for picture element. So it simply affects the quality of picture
It depends on the quality of the recoding device. For example, a low-quality cell phone camera will have far fewer pixels than a high-end digital camera so an image from the phone will have much poorer resolution (pixels per sq. cm.)
