There are 2 points in Basmati Rice. This is if you are using the Weight Watchers point system. This may be different for everyone depending on how many points they are allowed.
I went around the block on this and found many answers. Here is the final one. 1 poind of rice equals 2 1/2 cups of uncooked rice. 1 cup of rice equals 3 cups of cooked rice. If we want to find how many cups of cooked rice in 10 pounds we do some math. If 1 pound equals 2 1/2 cups of uncooked rice then 10 pounds equals 25 cups of uncooked rice. If 1 cup of rice equals 3 cups of cooked rice then 25 cups of uncooked rice equals 75 cups of cooked rice.
1/4 of a cup
1 and 1/2 cups of cooked rice.
1 cup is one cup
points plus: 1 cup of white rice = 5 pts.
1 cup of cooked pasta is 4 Points.
Both white rice or brown rice are 4 points per cup, cooked. If you are now referring to the new points plus program, the points have changed and both now are 5 points plus per cup, cooked. I am sticking to the old points program and have lost 68 lbs!! I suggest having brown rice, and sweet potatoes rather than white carbs.
