Under the dash on the passenger side in front of the blower motor. You will see 5 wires going into a plug held in by 2 screws. That is the blower motor resistor.
where is the blower motor resistor located on 2002 gmc envoy?
You must remove the glove compartment door to access the blower motor. On top of the blower motor will be wires connecting to the top. Release the connecter and let it dangle. Then using a screwdriver, remove the blower resistor on top, where the wires connected, and replace with a new resistor.
the blower motor resistor is located behind the blower motor which is located behind the glove box there is clip wires you need to disconnect and then connect the new one.
resistor is located right by the blower motor itself ..Follow the electrical wires. It will look like a flat chip board from a cell phone!
The blower motor resistor on a 1995 Ford Mustang is located near the blower motor. It is a plug with various colored wires on the passenger side of the vehicle behind the reservoir for the washer fluid.
The blower motor resistor pack is accessed from inside the vehicle, not from the engine compartment. Exactly where it is I cannot say. Follow the wires from the blower motor and you will find it.
The blower motor resistor is defective. The resister is located under the glove compartment all the way on the right side. You do not have to remove any covers to see it. The first thing you will see is the blower motor itself. The blower motor resistor is right next to it. The only tool you will need is a Philips screwdriver. Remove the two screws that secure the resistor to the blower motor duct and pull it out. Next disconect the plug that has the wires on it. Install the connecter with wires before installing the new resistor. The blower motor resistor should cost about $25.00.
Blower resistor is behind the blower motor up against the firewall you can see wires hanging down from it. (Mite be called blower control module in 2005 models.)
Could be a bad blower motor, or, look to the blower motor resistor mounted on the engine firewall on the passenger side near the top of the firewall inside the engine compartment. It will have five wires going to it. It is likely either burnt out, or the wires have shorted at or near the resistor.
On the passenger side underneath the dash, look for a connector with four wires. The blower motor resistor should have two small bolts holding it in place
The blower motor resistor is the common failure. It comes with the wires attached that plug directly to the blower motor itself. If there is another wiriing harness that is damaged then you will have to buy it too. The resistor failure has been linked as the only cause of the melted wires other than the blower motor itself. The motor can be tested with 12v power to it and it should run on high speed when tested.
