Depends on if there is an oil cooler installed. If so you will need to add 1 quart for the cooler to the 6 quarts it more than likely holds. Without knowing the year and vehicle it is installed in I can only say do this. Drain the oil, replace the filter, and add 6 quarts. Start the engine and let it run for 30 seconds. Shut off and wait 30 minutes. Check the oil level and add as necessary to reach the full mark. You now know the capacity.
