The transmission/primary drive oil capacity is one quart.
Oh, those are just disposable.
There are 2 plugs, one for engine oil, the other for transmission/primary drive oil. Both are underneath the engine/transmission case near the kick-stand support on the left hand side. For more detailed information please see the Buell Forum, specifically the Thumper Forum for Buell Blast owners at www.BadWeatherBikers.com.
Any motorcycle oil with the weight 20W50. I use Valvoline 4 stroke motorcycle oil 20W50 and it works fine!
Buell XBike engine oil capacity is 2.5 quarts including the oil filter. When changing oil, add two quarts and check level via dipstick with bike resting on side stand on flat and level surface. Add as required to bring level midway to full mark.
Total oil capacity is 2.5 quarts according to the Buell Owner's manual, but always check the level according to instructions in the owners manual. Check oil only immediately after warm engine shutdown with the bike on level ground but resting on the side-stand.
Follow the recommendations in your Buell owner's manual. Either Forumula Plus, or Sport Trans. Any 20W50 synthetic engine oil is also okay. For more detailed discussion please check out the Buell Forum at www.BadWeatherBikers.com, specifically the "Knowledge Vault" there. They have a lot of information on all sorts of Buell motorcycles and lots of good information concerning transmission lubrication.
