The engine takes 5 and 1/2 quarts of Castrol Syntec 10w30 for best performance... or other viscosity oil depending on climate conditions- refer to owners manual for that. FRAM oil filter is PH2870A... or find a K&N or other brand for highest quality. after change make sure to check the oil level
