This info is listed in your owner's manual. But undoubtally you don't have one. The amount would depend on what engine it has. Park the truck on level ground. Drain the oil, remove and replace the filter, pour in 4.5 quarts, start the engine and let it run for 3 minutes. Shut it off, Wait for 15 minutes and then check the oil level. Add oil until it is full. You then know how much it holds.
* just one thing I should mention , the 2001 and newer Ford Rangers that have
the 2.3 liter Dual Over Head Cam four cylinder engine only take ( 4 U.S. quarts )
so if you put in 4.5 it's overfilled
A 4.0 ford ranger will hold 10 quarts of transmission oil. This is if the if the transmission is totally dry including the lines and the transfer case.
5 quarts ( 4.7 liters ) WITH FILTER CHANGE
Five quarts with filter change.
5 quarts. I just changed mine last night.
a 1993 ford ranger will hold 5 qts of oil. From the Chilton Ford Ranger guide: A 1993 Ranger with a 3.0 liter engine take 4.5 quarts of oil. The other engine sizes all take 5.0. My 3.0 Ranger takes 5 quarts, Chilton is probably not taking into account of the oil filter.
According to the 1998 Ford Ranger Owner Guide : With engine oil filter change : The 2.5 liter four cylinder engine takes : ( 4.5 U.S. quarts of 5W-30 )
The coolant capacity of the Ford Ranger is dependent on model year and engine type. The latest model year of the Ford Ranger was 2011. The 2011 Ranger with the 4. 0L V6 and the automatic transmission had a coolant service fill of 13. 2 quarts.
A 1996 Ford Ranger will hold approximately 2.8 quarts of transmission fluid. The transmission fluid can be purchased at any auto parts store such as NAPA.
A 1997 2.3L Ranger will hold four quarts of oil.
In a 1996 Ford Ranger : The 5 speed manual transmission takes ( 2.65 litres / 2.8 U.S. quarts of MERCON automatic transmission fluid )
It varies depending on the size of the motor that is in your truck. If you have a 2.3 it will hold roughly 11.2 quarts, 2.5 will hold roughly 10.5 quarts and a 4.0 will hold roughly 13.5 quarts. Now that is for the entire cooling system, not just the radiator.
With engine oil filter change : The 2.8 liter V6 engine in a ( Ford Ranger ) holds ( 5 quarts )
