6.5 Liters means about 6.8 quarts of oil so buy 7 and put 6 3/4 quarts and adjust with dip stick this will be correct as long as you havent changed the oil pan to an upgraded displacement

If this is the 3.9 Turbo Diesel it probably would take the same as a 1991 which is 8.4 quarts
