Listed in your Owner's manual, but you probably don't have one or you would have looked. It will be at least 4.5 qts. Put that amount in, start the engine, run for 1 minute, shut it off and wait for 15 minutes, check the level. Add until it is full. You will then know how much it holds. 4 quarts without filter change, 5 quarts with filter change

a 1993 ford ranger will hold 5 qts of oil. From the Chilton Ford Ranger guide: A 1993 Ranger with a 3.0 liter engine take 4.5 quarts of oil. The other engine sizes all take 5.0. My 3.0 Ranger takes 5 quarts, Chilton is probably not taking into account of the oil filter.
