On a 1995 Ford Explorer :
According to my owners manual :
Rear differential ( 5.5 U.S. pints ) plus ( 4 ounces of friction modifier if it is a Ford Traction-Lok ) of Motorcraft Premium Rear Axle Lubricant
5 quarts
The engine coolant capacity with A/C is ( 8.6 quarts / 8.1 liters ) without A/C ( 7.8 quarts / 7.4 liters ) according to my 1995 Ford Explorer owners manual
5 quarts with engine oil filter change
On a 1995 Ford Explorer : No ( at least my 1995 Ford Explorer XLT doesn't )
The 5.0 liter / 302 cubic inch V8 wasn't offered until the 1996 model of the Ford Explorer , and with engine oil filter change it took ( 5 U.S. quarts ) A 1995 Ford Explorer , 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine takes ( 5 U.S. quarts with engine oil filter change )
I assume it is like my 1995 Ford Explorer , there are ( 2 shock absorbers ) for the suspension and (1 small shock absorber ) that is installed kind of sideways from the differential
I believe that the coolant system capacity is 8.6 quarts ( 8.1 liters ) for your Explorer ( if it has air conditioning )
On a 1998 Ford Explorer ( same as my 1995 ) Ford calls the smallrear shock absorber that runs on an angle the ( rear axle differential shock absorberor lateral shock ) As far as I can figure it is used to stabilize the rear differential ( P.S. I'm not a mechanic / technician )
The automatic transmission in a 1995 Ford Explorer is electronically controlled
On a 1999 Ford Explorer : 2 shock absorbers on the front , 2 shock absorbers on the rear ( and if it's like my 1995 Ford Explorer there is a small shock absorber mounted almost horizontally from the rear differential )
( 10 U.S. quarts ) for the entire system - transmission , torque converter , lines , cooler etc. according to my 1995 Ford Explorer owners manual To drain and refill pan only : 2.7 U.S. quarts - 2 wheel drive 3.0 U.S. quarts - 4 wheel drive according to my Haynes repair manual
A 1995 Ford Explorer is unlikely to be stolen by ants.
