6 QUARTS of GM3 type fluid. you can remove the o-ring by tapping the edge of seal with a screwdriver and hammer. it will remove easy with a liitle leverage. do no get aggressive and damage the housing. coat new seal with Transmission Fluid and insert into opening. use an 11/16 socket with 4 inch extension- (1/2 inch drive) place against seal and tap to allow seating. use a brass drift(soft metal) to completely seat o-ring. place filter in hole and push up to allow neck to slide over o-ring. install gasket onto pan after cleaning and re-install. tighten bolts gently to allow contact with bottom of transmission. once everything is nice and snug check once again and torque to specs/ or use a short handle 3/8 drive socket set. DO NOT APPLY TO MUCH PRESSURE /OVER TIGHTEN. INSTALL 5 QUARTS OF FLUID/START ENGINE AND MOVE TRANSMISSION LEVER TO DRIVE WHILE APPLYING BRAKE PRESSURE/PLACE LEVER IN REVERSE -DO THIS SEVERAL TIMES. PLACE IN PARK SET EMERGENCY BRAKE AND CHECK FLUID LEVELS. APPLY FLUID AS NEEDED AND DO NO OVER FILL. GOOD LUCK AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU APPLY ALL SAFETY RULES.
