Very rare but they do exist, mostly in the southwestern part of the state, but have been seen elsewhere. Don't believe anything the state of Maine says about wildlife, they don't have enough budget to have a clue.

Yes there are rattlesnakes in Mississippi. if you dont believe me, my family will be glad for you to come to our property and hunt them. We have a problem with them. we have kiled several over the past two years. And big ones at that and now our dogs are being killed by them and are afraid for our children to be outside.
