Almost all movies have deleted scenes. This is a common practice. They film many scenes, and then see how well they flow when they are pieced together. If a scene does not work, then they take it out.
There are not that many "intense scenes" in the Harry Potter film series. If the person you are attempting to censor the film for is not ready to see the film in its entirety, I suggest that he or she wait until he or she is ready to see the film.
