Well, that really depends on how big your serving is, doesn't it? If you go by how many servings are typical for a commercial half gallon of ice cream (7), there should be about 21. I don't know about you, but my servings are much larger than that and I would have it eaten in about 15 servings.

Home made numbing cream is not recommended as a do it yourself project. For numbing at home without a purchased agent, ice cubes are the safest solution.
The easiest way, by far, is to purchase (or borrow) an electric ice cream maker. But, if you don't have one, you can get a big tub and fill it with ice and salt (the salt will make the ice colder). In the center, place a metal dish, with your ice cream ingredients. Stir the ice cream ingredients, and stir, and stir, and stir, stirring constantly, until it is frozen. You could do it in the freezer, but you'll probably end up with more ice crystals, because you won't be constantly stirring it. Home-made ice cream is the best!
A gelato is made by mixing 470mL of milk, 235mL of heavy cream, 4 egg yolks and 100g together, then putting it in the freezer. :D
