yes there are stingers at coogee beach wa stung by them yesterday looked as if the stinger was of a purple/brown colour.. left reddness pain and swallon welts to the area.still sore as if its a fresh sting.have applied all types of remiedies vinger ,hot , ice pack,soothing gel antibactiral gel and antihestimines.and sitll in same pain... what type could it have been and will it leave a scares.

Yes indeed, There are sharks off the coast of Oregon and they have been there since the dinosaurs. They are one of around 9 states th have shark attack warnings. It is heard and written that a few shark attacks have been recorded off the shore of seaside beach.

I have no idea but Bull Sharks usually strike close to the beach where theres alot of people, while the Great white prefers to stay in deeper waters. I guess it's just their way of hunting. Beaches in Brazil are full of Bull sharks and in the past few years around 40 have been atacked on the same beach. There also have been a few kills, but this happens rarely because, like i said bull sharks are close to the beach, where humans have a better chance to escape due to shallow water.
