Estimates on the number of former Black slaves, African Americans, vary on this issue. One reliable source places the number of slaves leaving North America with the British at 3,000.
This may be hard to believe, but not everyone wants to be American! Canada exists because the French and the British retained control of it, and when they left, the Canadians were happy to become their own nation.
Answer 1Once the Americans and France entered into an alliance in 1778, the British were left with any standing allies. This had a major impact on the strength of the British forces.Answer 2The immediate impact of the French joining the war was twofold. The first effect was that the number of vulnerable British positions multiplied. The American colonists only had ambitions on the North American mainland, but the French had ambitions on several different Carribean islands, Gibraltar, and British possessions in India. This meant that the British forces had to be spread out more thinly in order to engage the French. The second effect was that the British were now facing a country with a powerful land army and an extant navy. The American colonists had no real way of opposing the British blockade, but the French Navy (along with the Spanish and Dutch navies) could give the British Navy a run for its money. Combined with the need to defend more valuable Carribean colonies, this made the American Revolutionaries more able to smuggle in weapons and war stockpiles.Contrary to Answer 1, the British did not expect the French to be willing to assist them since the two were historic rivals, so the "loss" of France as a potential ally was not even a British concern.
The French and Indian war caused the British government to focus on the control of the colonies. It also put Britain in huge debt, which they sought to repay by taxing Americans and through this, changed the colonists' attitude to distrust towards the crown.
India got its Independence on 15 Aug 1947 after British empire left and it is a Democratic country now.

The two events that ended the Revolutionary War Yorktown and the Treaty of Paris
Loyalists were American colonists who remained loyal to the Kingdom of Great Britain (and the British monarchy) during and after the American Revolutionary War. They were often referred to as Tories, Royalists, or King's Men by the Patriots, those that supported the revolution. When their cause was defeated, about 20% of the Loyalists left the US to resettle in other parts of the British Empire, in Britain or elsewhere in British North America (especially New Brunswick), where they were called United Empire Loyalists; some went to the British West Indies, especially the Bahamas). Black Loyalists made up some of the Loyalist community. They lost all the property left behind, but were compensated by British claims procedures

Almost never, though this was the promise made to induce them to run away and join with the British. A small percentage was taken to Halifax, Canada, and put ashore in that freezing maritime province. A larger percentage was carried to the sugar islands of the Caribbean and resold, and were once more slaves, in a place where few slaves reached old age. Many were just left behind in Virginia, to be rounded up and returned to their owners, who I am sure welcomed them gently.
