The answer to this is impossible to answer because there are so many Enlisted Men NCO's (Non-Commissioned Officers) and O's (Officers) that went Prisoner Of War or MIA (Missing In Action) but the death toll currently says that 3 to 4 million Vietnamese from both sides, 1.5 to 2 million Laotians and Cambodians, and 58,159 U.S. soldiers lost their lives during this period
North Vietnam also drafted it's men; captured NVA pith helmets had graffiti written on them that read in Vietnamese, "Born in the North, died in the South."

Civilian casualities are difficult to calculate but the North Vietnamese Government list 2,000,000 civilian dead in the North and the South. Other estimates show the death toll as several million. It is unknown just how many soldiers from other nations served in Vietnam. 4,900 South Koreans died in the war. China said 1446 of their soldiers died in the war. Australia said 426 of their soldiers died in the war. Some estimates show another 200,000 civilians and soldiers in Laos were killed during the war. Laos became the most heavily bombed country in the world. There are different numbers from different places concerning how many fought in Vietnam. These are the ones I know about.
