Technically, I don't think any do.
There's a CDP (Census-Designated Place, which is not quite the same thing legally as a town or city) named Farson in Wyoming, and there's an unincorporated community (again, not quite the same as a town or city) named Farson in Iowa. Those were the only two "Farson"s I could find in the US.

The question should be: How many states have cities named after them in THEIR state? (If it is worded in this manner.) Or better yet: How many states also have a city with a matching name, such as Kansas City, Kansas?
