about 70 Americans per year
In 2001, terrorists crashed into the Twin Towers. Many people died in the September 11th attacks on the Twin towers.
Since the terrorists came from countries that were supposed to be US allies - Saudi Arabia and Egypt - the US retaliated by attacking Iraq that had nothing at all to do with the 9/11 attacks. The US also attacked Afghanistan, for which it had much better reasons since the Saudi Al-Qaeda organization had been allowed by Afghan authorities to set up training camps there. These two attacks are collectively known as the Second Gulf War.The US then went on to occupy these countries for several years and tried to change them into democracies, which did not prove a success and cost thousands of US soldiers their lives in the process. In Iraq the removal of the Ba'ath Government and subsequent occupation mostly led (as predicted by many even before the Second Gulf War) to fierce fighting between Sunnite and Shia Muslims which in turn led to the rise of IS; in Afghanistan the ruling Taliban Muslims were removed from power, but not defeated as a force. Today they are again the de facto power brokers in much of southern Afghanistan.
September 11, 2001 is a day that shall live on in infamy in America's history. It deeply affected all Americans due to the great loss of life that occurred in New York City, Washington D.C, and Pennsylvania. What many people don't realize is that the World Trade Center had New York's finest individuals working in the Twin Towers.9-11 is important because it was a direct blow to our American government. It is also important to note that America will not allow terrorism to go unanswered.
At this moment, it has been 13.5 years and counting since the September 11 attacks. (to be updated September 11, 2014)
Tornadoes occur in many areas around the world by no region experiences more tornadoes than the central United States. No one really knows for sure how many there are in the US each year, but it is estimated that over 1,000 tornadoes occur each year in the US, although many go undetected and unreported.
There have been many terrorist attacks such as the September 11th attacks and the 67 terrorist attacks on Pakistan,The Mumbai attacks and many more
Too many people die from the result of a terrorist attacks
Many people think that the terrorist attacks on the twin towers was fixed. It was not. The attacks were a random act that was plotted and instrumented by terrorists that do not like America.
Ridiculous question. Wouldn't that depend on a) what the person identified as "you" thinks, and b) determining how many attacks "actually" occur, as opposed to those reported/discussed (let alone what would qualify as a numerable terrorist attack)?
25,000
A lot because they are worried about terrorist attacks
2,993, including the terrorists.
I do not understand the question. More countries have suffered non "Islamic" terrorist attacks. Please look into Christian history and the brutal Christian Crusaders and how many people they terrorized and how they took over land from others and spread their religion by killing.
Al Qaeda is the name of an organization that is responsible for the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001, as well as many other terrorist attacks.
The terrorist attacks of September 11 left Americans being afraid and vulnerable. No longer could public safety be assumed. The attacks led to a surge in prejudice against Middle Easterners and Muslims.
Through its history, and particularly between the troubles that ran from the late 1960s to the late 1990s, there have been many terrorist attacks in Northern Ireland, though it is not a problem in modern times.
it is very rare for a person to be attacked by a hippo but they can be very vicious. there has been some hippo attacks but usually around 13 hippo attacks happen each year.
