approx. 1800- 1850 tigers are left in India. TIGER is our national animal and it is facing extinction day by day. it is our responsibility to save them. tey are still being killed because of our needs. many people are using goods made from tiger's leather and due to increase in demand of their leather goods they are being killed.so, i must say that we should say no to these goods and government should take strict action against the shopkeepers who are selling not only tiger's leather goods but also other species of animals. thankx

They are not being killed, because there are none in the wild. In 1967, two white Bengal tiger cubs were found in Rewa, India. All of the white tigers in zoos are descendents of these, being bred to normal colored tigers and having some cubs born white. These are mated to others carrying the white gene, and this keeps the numbers of these beautiful mutations around for zoos. my answer is people killed them before the tiger cubs were found people killed them before that ,thank you ziguy74455:
