Queen Mary (known as Bloody Mary) was indeed very real, she was a devout Catholic and her main goal in life was to unite all of England under the Roman Catholic Church, all those who opposed her were punished very severely by being burned at the stake and tortured.
there was no time back in the 1500's.
Obviously not.
Well, When queen Elizabeth was crowned, she influenced many protestents and catholics to continue their own belife, unlike Bloody Mary, who killed all protestents (hence her nickname Bloody Mary)
Due to Fantastic Mr Foxes book of Martyrs where he refers to her as Bloody Mary, She only had just under 300 protestants burned as heretics. The majority were exiled (800) for the 6 years she was on the throne. During that time they worked on the cult of Bloody Mary by ensuring that Protestant propaganda out weighed that of the Catholics 2:1!! She was also the daughter of King Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon. She took the throne when her parents divorced and after Henry split from the Catholic Church causing the devastating English Reformation. That is how she got her name.Mary did kill (not herself) but did send out her soldiers or something, she did send out people... to kill the protestants of England. Many as mentioned before about 800 protestants left England. Mary was hated for that, but was also given the name "Bloody Mary" for it. There is a legend that if you say Bloody Mary three times in the mirror with the lights off... Mary (Bloody Mary) will come and scratch you.

A Bloody Mary is made of tomato juice and vodka. It is usually served at breakfast. It is named after the Tudor monarch who persecuted protestants. She was succeeded by Elizabeth I.

Bloody Mary is in fact Tudor Queen of England Mary I. The eldest child of Henry VIII, and the only surviving child of Catherine of Aragon. She was raised as a Catholic, and her tutors were Catholic. To divorce his wife, Henry VIII reformed the English Church and cut its allegiance to the Church of Rome, thus forming The Church of England. Henry died and Edward took over, who really reformed the church stripping them of all things catholic or dogmatic. Edward dies, and Mary takes charge (after a bit of conspiracy is thwarted). Mary was desperate to correct England in the eyes of God, The Pope and the Church of Rome. To do this she re-enacted old heresy laws, which allowed for unrepentant heretics to be burned at the stake, although in for certain protestants, repenting wasn't enough and she burned them anyway. Mary Burned about 300 people in her short five year reign. Of course this pales in comparison to her own father who killed about 72,000 people in his reign. But it was the brutality of Mary's preferred execution which gave her the name Bloody Mary. Although people did repent, she burned them anyway, turning them into Martyrs, which helped discredit Mary's regime. Her cruelty, lack of mercy, and general unpopularity gave her the nickname Bloody Mary, which has stuck ever since. Hope that is more informative :-)
Mary Tudors nickname was given to her at the time when she was ruling and was recordeed in history by various people. The rumor comes from people thinking that if you said bloody marys name then she would execute you. Hope this helped :)
One time, a woman (Bloody Mary) lost her baby. She went out looking for her lost child, but never found it. So to this day, if you go inside your mirror and say: Bloody Mary,Bloody Mary,Bloody Mary, I killed your baby, I killed your baby, I killed your baby, she will kill you. Another reason why she kills is because one day she wasn't pretty and everybody laughed at her. She went home and she said this in front of her mirror: From this day on, whoever summons me and looks at my horrible face, I will stab them to death. <><><><><> This is folklore and is not true.
