With respect to the King James Version, the name Mary appears 54 times in the New Testament and does not appear in the Old Testament. This is according to Strong's Concordance.

The Old Testament for example was written in Hebrew and New Testament was in Greek. In Hebrew Mary would appear as Maryām or Miriam. In Arabic, both the names Mary and Miriam are called Maryam. Miriam, the sister of Moses in the Old Testament, would also be called Mary and part of the total count, which appears 15 times in KJV.
